Meet landlord Edward Krigsman. A lifelong Pacific Northwesterner, Edward grew up in Tacoma as well as Nigeria in West Africa. He is fascinated by placemaking and has deep roots in the Pacific Northwest and expresses this in a variety of ways, including real estate development, brokerage and storytelling.
As a real estate broker, currently with Windermere Real Estate Co., Edward has discovered a way to support his family whiile exploring and sharing the region with others, including newcomers. In this capacity, Edward has served real estate buyers and sellers of homes and other property for decades. These folks have included a handful of Cliffside tenants who decided that it was time to purchase a home! One of his most memorable local successes was bringing a Fremont property owner together with community activists and a philanthropist to broker the sale of land that is now Fremont Peak Park. Inspired by smaller mid-century apartment buildings in Seattle neighborhoods, Edward is currently trying his hand at ground-up new construction, adding a small modernist apartment building to the Fremont View community.
As host of the podcast series Power of Place - Stories of the Pacific Northwest, Edward provides a platform that illuminates Puget Sound landscapes and cityscapes through conversations with the inspiring people who create, protect and celebrate them.
Edward lives in north Seattle with his wife, Brooke Pinkham. Brooke currently works as director of Seattle University's Center for Indian Law and Policy. She is a citizen of the Nez Perce Nation and grew up within the community of the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation and is the Board President of the nonprofit Na'ah Illahee Fund Together, Brooke and Edward raise two very active boys, Avi & Joachim. The family are members of Congregation Beth Shalom in Wedgewood.
