Home is more than just a place—it’s about connection, character, and community. Founded in 2004 by Edward Krigsman and Brooke Pinkham, Cliffside was built on the vision of preserving the history and spirit of Fremont’s residences while providing a personal, hands-on rental experience. Unlike corporate landlords, our team is deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest, committed to ensuring that each property feels like home for our residents.
Edward and Brooke bring a unique perspective to property ownership and stewardship. Edward’s lifelong passion for travel, real estate, and storytelling led him to a career focused on community and discovery. Brooke, a citizen of the Nez Perce Nation and an attorney dedicated to Native communities, brings a deep commitment to advocacy and connection. Together, they built Cliffside to reflect their shared values—celebrating the unique character of each home while fostering a welcoming and engaged community.
Property manager Keith Reed plays an essential role in making this vision a reality. A Tacoma native with a background in education and real estate, Keith ensures that Cliffside’s properties are well-maintained and that tenants feel heard and supported. His love for travel and the outdoors has taken him across the world, but he always returns home with a deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest. With Keith’s hands-on approach and our team’s dedication, Cliffside offers a rental experience that’s personal, responsive, and rooted in care.
At Cliffside, you’re not just renting an apartment—you’re becoming part of a neighborhood that values authenticity, connection, and community. We look forward to welcoming you home.
STEWARDSHIP
We see ourselves as stewards of our community, engaging in neighborhood organizations, protecting shared open spaces and working to ensure that the stories and history of our neighborhood are preserved for generations to come.
GRATITUDE
It’s a simple thing. Be thankful for our environment, our neighbors, our residents and our resources, leveraging sustainable and ethical materials and practices in construction and property management.
PRESERVATION
We recognize that these vintage buildings provide a level of affordability that is difficult to offer in new construction. At the same time, we are committed to preserving our natural and wild spaces by building in-fill housing and adding to the density of the city instead of adding to the sprawl that can occur in our region.
ONE BIG FAMILY
We strive to treat others (and their pets) as we would wish to be treated and welcome feedback on how we can improve. Each new resident becomes a part of our extended family. We look forward to getting to know one another!
Cliffside offers homes with a soul. From charming bungalows to authentically retro and retro-inspired flats, our buildings are Fremont originals.
From outdoor recreation to local breweries to exceptional restaurants, funky festivals to quirky public art, Fremont has it all.
